PSYG Alamdar XI -
Game 3

Game Report
I
am happy to inform you all that we came away
with another great and convincing victory
against the Bombers on Saturday 15th
November.
It was a great win for us all and the atmosphere
was very electrifying, since this was the game
many had anticipated from the start.
How it happened…
Bombers won the toss and elected to bat first. Early
wickets and precise bowling were the
key and strategy set out again.
With many players missing and turning up late,
the beginning of the game was quite bad for us
as others
were needed to be replaced and some required to take the
field for a
short amount of time. A special thanks to Mumtaz, Shabir and Ali Faiyaz Uncles for
temporary replacing players on the field and
also to Salman Jasani and Abbas Faiyaz who played
throughout the
entire match.
Knowing
of how much of a strong batting line-up the Bombers
had, we knew as a team that restricting them to
a low score would be vital for victory.
The scorecard…

Bowling Figures:
Raza Hussain – 3/19 (4 Overs)
Extras: 29
Akbar Shah – 1/27 (4 Overs)
Imran Abbas – 2/39 (4 Overs)
Haider Naqvi – 1/22 (4 Overs)
Set with the target of 108 Runs for victory, the
team was very proud of their efforts on the
ground especially with the new talent of Imran
Abbas taking 2 wickets
and a superb run out
on his debut bowling match. Also with the young
and very talented Abbas Faiyaz who took a great
catch at square leg and stopped many runs and
showed great determination and enthusiasm.
Jaffar Mehdi’s catch in the deep which was very
well judged and taken was another great
highlight. But everyone played their role
precisely and perfectly on the field and should
all be very proud of themselves.

Imran. M – 0/29 (3.3 Overs)
Aqeel – 1/32 (4 Overs)

The
match itself was very exciting and became tense
many
times as the game was decided in the final over.
At one stage, Alamdar XI needed 60 runs in the last 6 Overs, but Akbar’s
superb batting and a handful of wides by the
opposition led the team home knocking in an
unbeaten 49. Akbar also claimed the Man of the
Match.
So after a bad start to the tournament and a
very strong finish towards the end, this is how
the table finished…

2nd - ALAMDAR XI
3rd - BOMBERS
4th - TIGERS
