PSYG Youths - Stars
of Panjtan Centre
First of all a massive
congratulations to Tigers (Captain Masroor) for
winning the Cricket Finals. What an outstanding
performance from them. At least Alamdar XI lost
the semi-final against the eventual champions.
As you all know the cricket finals brings
the Sporting Festival to an end. It all started
back when PSV invited IHC to Melbourne. PSYG
established a Sports sub-committee of Khurram
Mehdi and Akbar Shah, both worked with PSYG's
Boys Sports Coordinator Raza Hussain and joined
PSV's management committee to equally
participate in the decision making process and
worked tirelessly in all aspects of the event.
Also a major thanks to all
the other youths particularly, boys; Jaffar
Mehdi, Rehan Naqvi, Ali Kazmi, Ali Shah, Haider
Shah, Salman Jisani, Imran Mohmmad and girls;
Itarat Ansari, Wajiha Mehdi, Fatmi Shah, Sabica
Gulani, Nobia Abidi, Tehreem Shah, Sukina
Ansari, Arshi Masood, Sonia Zafar, Zara Zafar,
Areeba Kazim and a lot more youths (I am
extremely sorry if I have missed your name). I
would like to call the above mentioned youths
and others the 'Silent Workers' of our community
and I wish to personally thank all of you.
Although the community cannot repay your
efforts, we pray to our Imam Zamana (A.S) who
witnessed your time, energy and efforts to
himself pray for your forgiveness and for a
better future for you, Ameen.
The above youths were very
active in all parts of the events, from cleaning
the centre on a number of occasions, welcoming
guests at the centre, transporting guests to and
from airport, transporting guests and items from
Centre to the ground, preparing food, and
countless more small and big works, that you
might think have gone unnoticed but believe me
the event would have been impossible without
your hard work.
Lastly, on a close analysis
of this event, it is very clear the PSYG youths
have dominated all aspects of the Sports
Festival. A special acknowledgment for Raza
Hussain (Alamdar XI captain, team manager and
PSYG boys sports coordinator) and Jaffar Mehdi
(Alamdar XI vice captain and team manger), both
have achieved a mammoth task of creating a team
in a week and through Raza Hussain's excellent
captaincy gave Alamdar XI a fighting chance.
Also to Khurram Mehdi & Akbar Shah, for
not only participating in organising the event,
but also both taking away Man of the Match
trophy each for the two games that Alamdar XI
won.
Most importantly, our other
youths although playing for the other teams but
are presenting PSYG youths, including Dayam
Naqvi (one of the most highest achievers of the
entire sports festival, taking trophies for
Table Tannis, Batmanton, Cricket and Soccer),
Salman Jisani & Mohsin Abbas. Great work boys
keep it up, PSYG is truly proud of you guys.
